…did we trick you with the ‘—’? 😉

Seriously though, no AI.

( Snoqualmie Falls, WA)

City Rec:

Kirkland, WA

This gem was introduced to me by a longtime friend. It’s located near Lake Washington north of Seattle. Kirkland provides a quiet, suburban life integrated with the natural world and next to a major metropolitan area. There are gorgeous trails connecting the area known as the Kirkland Corridor. The city integrated a park with a local Google campus called Feriton Spur Park. It’s outfitted with a community garden, brewery, pickleball court, sand volleyball court, basketball court (single rim), and outdoor workout equipment. These amazing benefits are all free of charge.

We did not have a chance to thoroughly experience the restaurant scene, but highly recommend Deru Market as we visited three times during our stay. The beverages, baked goods, and entrees are incredible. On a visit, indulge yourself with a latte and cinnamon roll tied together with a side of chocolate cake (ft. peanut butter frosting).

Also, if you find your way to Snoqualmie, visit the waterfall, and Caadxi Oaxaca Cocina Mexicana in Snoqualmie’s downtown.

Product Rec:

MOUSA Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Board - I’ve been using the MOUSA SUP board since 2021. This was an impulse purchase that paid off while in Austin, TX. It’s treated me well in both Texas rivers and high alpine lakes in Colorado. It’s extremely portable as it collapses into a backpack. It’s proven durable, and can be inflated manually with a pump that fits in the pack.

While inflation takes effort and patience, it’s the exact warmup needed to embark on your watercraft journey, and curb decades of misled government monetary policy. Place an order and seize the tides!

Song rec(s):

Sharing songs from the lineup of a Stick Figure concert attended at Mission Ballroom - except replace Bob’s name with Stephen Marley below.

Choice Is Yours - Stick Figure. Check out the keyboard player’s vibe. He’s unstoppable.

Pacific Coast Highway - The Hip Abduction. They’ve got great tunes for windows down driving or setting the right mood for the day.

Iron Lion Zion - Bob Marley. Don't overplay this tune otherwise it’s chorus will stay with you for in perpetuity.

Journal rec:

The Daily Stoic - If you’re looking to build journaling into your daily schedule, this is great kindling. I used this book for a year to prompt journal sessions daily. It’s an amazing way to create a thoughtful start to the day that pulls you out of robotic physical and mental routine.

Quote to consider:

“Ultimately, man should not ask what the meaning of his life is, but rather must recognize that it is he who is asked. In a word, each man is questioned by life; and he can only answer to life by answering for his own life; to life he can only respond by being responsible.” - Viktor E.
